Yesterday my friend Kathy and I visited with a delightful women.  Her name is Rani Bal.  Rani and her husband own an interesting business called Signs Now in Mill Creek. Their slogan is,”Defining your identity and enhancing your visibility.” Sounds a lot like mine with image consulting but with and different genre. Rani like Kathy and myself believe that people and relationships are the most important thing. Rani comes from a corporate american business background. This background plus other business experiences have qualified her to create and run this very creative business. She is very warm and friendly. If any of you need digital color graphics,flyers,postcards,etc. I would visit Rani. One graphic design that caught my attention was a vinyl graphic of the world she had on their show room floor.  I would LOVE to do that in my laundry room with a floral design. Visit their web site.

425 is a sophisticated magazine offering valuable information on where to shop,restaurants, and interesting articles.  The March/April issue featured METAMORPHOSIS on page 54 in a little black box titled, Find Your Personal Shopper.

How wonderful to discover METAMORPHOSIS was put in this magazine.

“What really works?”, is a question I frequently get asked regarding skin care lines.  It takes a lot to wow me since every skin care line says it is the best.  Well, I found one.  Nu Skin won me over with their Age-Loc serum.  After using this serum for a couple of weeks, I find that the texture of my skin and all over appearance has greatly improved.  I can recommend this product with confidence that it works.  This is definitely a line that I get wowed over.

Its Spring time , you deserve new undergarments along with your new Spring outfits.  So I found a jewel named Vicky.  Vicky works for Macys at the Bellevue Square Mall. If your one of those who can only fill out a bra when your leaning forward then becomes to big when lying back ,Vicky can find the perfect fit.  Come on ladies take pride in yourself and take a look at the new shape wear.  Wiggly, jiggly stomachs are NOT attractive.  Vicky is very knowledgeable and will put you at ease for those of us who dread looking for new undergarments.

I absolutely love this time of year!  For those of you who are looking for new places to shop I found three.  Fremont  is a fun place to visit and spend the day.  DREAM is a young hip store with great prices and a friendly atmosphere.  LES AMIS carries classic vintage inspired clothing . MERGE  has beautiful upscaled edgy clothing in neutral shades of black,grey,white, brown and cream.  MERGE has a very cute white terrier there to great you.  I enjoyed these quaint shops and the people who work there.  Check out their web sites.

I am more than half way through Dondi’s book DESIGNED FOR SUCCESS.  I want to share this with you.  I  hope it will be encouraging to you.  

Raising the Standard  p.127

EVERY DAY WE HAVE THE CHOICE TO DO JUST WHAT IS REQUIRED OF US OR SOMETHING MORE.  WE CAN MARK THE TIME AND TREAT OUR JOBS LIKE A PRISON SENTENCE, OR WE CAN BRING MORE  CREATIVITY , MORE ENERGY, AND MORE PASSION TO IT.

Dondi creates a list of does that are very helpful.  One to meditate on is: SEPARATE YOURSELF FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE SATISFIED WITH WHAT IS MEDIOCRE  AND AVERAGE  AND SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO WANT TO, AND BELIEVE THEY CAN, ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY.   

This for me is important when I want to move forward and there will be those who are negative . Do I want to have that person or persons pull me down?  What changes do I need to make .

I don’t know about you,  but this year for me will be about time management.  I plan on making progress in this area.  Now I am going on to finish the rest of Donis’ book.

2010, a new year.  I am always wanting to move forward .  Part of moving forward this year for me has been to finish reading a book authored by Dondi Schumaci.  The book is titled, Designed For Success.  I highly recommend  her book.  Here is an excerpt from her book: Dress for the part, p.47.

“LEVEL IT UP,” OR DRESS ONE LEVEL ABOVE THE EXPECTATION.  

If you want to brand yourself to stand out, level it up.  Dressing sloppy and relaxed (lazy) in the Northwest should change.  It can change with you.  Dondi goes on to say in her book that how we present ourselves becomes what others believe about us.  I hope this new year will be a year of positive change and growth for you.  I too  want to continue to improve  and to make changes where I need to.  Finishing Dondi’s book and moving on to her next one is one of my goals.  Keep moving a head and make 2010 a year of change for you.
